Our Vision is made up of four parts, four steps in the process of making disciples through the ministries of our local church.
WORSHIP – This is the first step. It refers to, but is not limited to (cf. Rom 12:1), the Sunday morning worship experience. We encourage everyone to come, and come regularly, to worship God with their faith family on Sunday morning, and to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
GROW – This is the next step. It's not enough to come to church only on Sunday morning once per week, but we encourage everyone to be part of a Bible study or small group in order to grow spiritually (1 Pet 2:2). Through each Bible study and small group, we seek to grow in our relationship with God (spiritual maturity) and grow in our relationships and friendships with one another (fellowship).
SERVE – This is the third step. Everyone is called to serve somewhere in the church, exercising their unique gifts and talents (1 Pet 4:10). Service is the essence of Christian discipleship (Mark 10:45; Gal 5:13; John 13:1-17). We offer many opportunities to serve at CCC.
INVITE – This is the fourth step. We encourage everyone to invite at least one unchurched or unbelieving friend or family member to church. This refers to evangelism. We promote friendship evangelism at our church because Jesus was known as a "friend of sinners" (Matt 11:19; Luke 7:34) and we as Christians have been made God's friend through the gospel of Christ. We encourage everyone to go and find their one lost sheep (Luke 15:1-7).
1) The Gospel - The message that will take us to heaven and transform us on earth.
2) Bible study and prayer - The two pillars of the disciple's life at church and devotionally.
3) The ministry of the Holy Spirit - To be filled with the Spirit for Christian living and gospel witness.
4) Always growing spiritually - As individual disciples and as a church body.
